The talented, funky, graphic designer types like Kikalee make beautiful referral countdown bracelets. The untalented, nerdy, economists make Post-It referral countdowns in their home office.

I love what you did with these. I have a paperclip chain, color coded to each month, of course. I remove one for each day referred on referral day. Then, to top it off, I have another chain that I remove a clip daily, counting down to June 1st when I HOPE to get our referral. I still am clinging to June but thinking more and more that I'm in denial!

Hi from another CAWLI waiting family! We're LID on 10/26/05 and just missed this last cutoff! Not too bummed, we knew it was a longshot, and there's really some peace in knowing that we're next (barring our paperwork being lost somewhere in the matching room!)

Ha! I had a ton of things like this. Must also be a nerd. Over three years I had endless pieces of paper with months, weeks and then finally days counting down. It helped, it really helped. never underestimate the nerdy.
