Homestudy now at USCIS/INS

The final reports for our homestudy were mailed out on Friday. One copy to the USCIS/INS office, and two copies to us. I took one of the copies today and FedExed it to our placement agency for our dossier. Our dossier is now complete except for the INS approval. We are hoping to be called in for a fingerprinting appointment before July 1.

Yesterday I gave Tim a father's day present, which was a baby book called "Daddy Cuddles". It shows animals and their babies, and how they snuggle up. I have been pretty good about not shopping for Baby Isabella, which is helped by the fact that we are moving mid-August. I have a small box of things - 2 bibs, a UMASS Class of 20?? T-shirt (size 12 months) and some books.

Yesterday we looked at a map of China and where we will be going. Here's a map of China: http://china.scmp.com/map/. First, we will go to Beijing and sight see. Then we will go to the area where our daughter is. She will most likely be from either Jiangxi, Hunan, or Guangdong Province. After that, we will go to Guangzhou, which is a city in Southern China where the US Consulate is. We will stay at the White Swan Hotel, which is famous in the adoption community (http://www.white-swan-hotel.com/eng/Public/index.asp). Our last stop in China will be Hong Kong. I find this unbelievable when the most exotic places I've been are Montreal and the Bahamas!
