Almost done paperchasing ...

Tim and I had our last homestudy visit on May 23rd. A draft of our homestudy should be ready within two weeks. It will be reviewed by our placement agency, China Adoption With Love, Inc (CALWI). After that, a final version will be sent to the USCIS office in Vienna, VA, where we will be fingerprinted. Sometime after our fingerprinting appointment, we will receive the precious I171H form, which is the INS approval to bring our daughter or son into the U.S. as a United States Citizen.

There is very little left for Tim and I to do on the paperwork front. It hard to have so much out of our control (we are waiting on the social worker to write the homestudy report, then we will wait for the INS approval, and then we will wait for our dossier to be authenticated by CAWLI) ... we are so eager to become DTC (Dossier to China!)

We are hoping for an August DTC date. Keep your fingers crossed for us!!!
